On August 19, a press tour was held at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the Center for Medical Technologies and Information Systems (CMTIS). The event focused on the implementation of advanced technologies and high-tech solutions in Kazakhstan’s healthcare system.
The press tour was attended by 23 representatives from 11 media outlets, including Khabar 24, Jibek Joly, Channel One Eurasia, KTK, MIR TV channel, Kazinform, Qogam News, Qrnews, Azattyq Rýhy, and Vremya newspaper.
One of the key topics of the press tour was the Mako robotic surgical system, which is used at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan to perform orthopedic procedures. Orthopedic traumatologist Anuarbek Kulcharov told journalists about the capabilities of the robotic system and its advantages in joint replacement surgery.
“Since the beginning of 2026, approximately 50 surgeries have been performed at the Medical Center Hospital using the Mako robotic system,” said Anuarbek Kulcharov.
At the Nuclear Medicine Center, Head of the Center Aigul Saduakasova gave journalists a presentation on the capabilities of modern radionuclide diagnostics. Media representatives also had an opportunity to see the PET/CT scanner and learn about its operating principles and applications in the diagnosis of oncological diseases.
As part of the press tour, journalists spoke with patients of the Hospital, learned about their treatment experiences, and asked specialists questions about modern diagnostic and treatment methods.
