A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the International Rational Use of Medicines Day was held at the Medical Centre Hospital of the President's Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was moderated by the Hospital's Chief Therapist, Roza Bakenova, MD, DSc, Associate Professor, and the Hospital's Chief Neurologist, Alma Zhussupova, MD, DSc, Professor, bringing together physicians from various specialties to discuss modern approaches to safe and effective pharmacotherapy.

The conference was opened by Altyn Nurpeisova, Head of the Clinical Pharmacology Department, with a presentation entitled "Rational Use of Medicines at the Hospital." During the conference, experts delivered presentations on current principles of rational pharmacotherapy, the use of dietary supplements, drug-induced liver injury, and rare adverse drug reactions, illustrated through clinical case studies.

The programme also featured the presentation of educational videos for patients focusing on the safe use of medicines. During an interactive question-and-answer session, specialists addressed the most common and relevant issues related to pharmacotherapy. The conference concluded with a panel discussion, bringing together speakers, moderators, and participants for a productive exchange of professional knowledge and experience.

The conference served as an important platform for professional dialogue and knowledge sharing, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in promoting the rational use of medicines and improving the quality and safety of patient care.
