The Medical Center Hospital, in collaboration with the Ministry of Healthcare, organized the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Modern Healthcare Priorities: Delegation, Quality, and Safety.”
The program focused on systemic changes in the organization of healthcare delivery, driven by the expanding professional role of nurses and the development of delegation practices in both clinical and organizational functions. During the plenary session and panel discussions, participants addressed the current state and future prospects of nursing in Kazakhstan, the role of advanced practice nurses in the healthcare system, including primary care, as well as workforce training and the improvement of higher nursing education quality.
Special attention was given to patient safety, risk management, prevention of medical errors, and the implementation of digital solutions in nursing practice.
Speakers included representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare, the Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration, Nazarbayev University, National Scientific Center for Healthcare Development named after Salidat Kairbekova, the National Center for Neurosurgery, the UMC Corporate Fund, and other leading medical organizations in the country. Particular interest was drawn to the presentation by Nancy Stitt, Director of the Nursing Program at the School of Medicine of Nazarbayev University, who shared international experience in the development of higher nursing education.
In addition to scientific discussions, the program included master classes and guided tours to clinical departments, including the Center for Rehabilitation and Restorative Treatment and the Center for Nuclear Medicine.
An important part of the conference organization was the support of partners - Vitanova, Mediland, Rogers Pharma, Asia Med Engineering, and Kazakhstan-Med Dez, whose contribution helped create a comfortable and productive platform for professional communication and exchange of experience.
