In 2024, Medical Center Hospital of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan continued to serve the nation with significant achievements. - This year, highly qualified doctors of the Hospital, participating in the event “Days of the Medical Center of the PAA RK”, visited 7 regions of Kazakhstan and provided mobile medical services. 112 complex operations were successfully performed and more than 1000 medical consultations were held in Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Mangistau, Abay, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan regions. - The Hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Center has reached a new level of its activity. During the year, 11,672 PET/CT and 411 SPECT/CT studies were performed, which is 40% more than last year. In 2024, three new radiopharmaceuticals for PET and CT diagnostics were introduced in Kazakhstan for the first time:
- 18F-FLT - for early diagnosis of breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma and lymphoproliferative diseases.
- 18F-FET - for the detection of brain tumors.
- 68Ga-FAPI - for early diagnosis of malignant tumors of gastrointestinal tract, lungs and liver.
- In addition, a new radioisotope “Samarium 153Sm-Oxabifor” intended for treatment of bone metastases was used for the first time in Kazakhstan.
- In order to develop medical tourism, the Hospital has implemented the “Health is Here” program for foreign patients. Under this program, patients from abroad can get consultation from the leading specialists, plan treatment and receive full support - from the beginning of therapy to their return home. - The Center for Personalized Genomic Diagnostics was the first in Kazakhstan to introduce a unique test that allows detecting Down syndrome with an accuracy of up to 99% as early as the 10th week of pregnancy. This prenatal test, developed by the British company Yourgene Health, provides accurate and safe fetal testing using only a blood sample from the mother. By implementing this approach, the risk of having children with chromosomal abnormalities is reduced by 15-20%, reducing infant mortality, the likelihood of disability, and the burden on the health care system.
- In 2024, Medical Center Hospital of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a number of large-scale events, including conferences, congresses and seminars. One of the key events was the international scientific and practical forum “High Technologies in Modern Surgery”, which brought together the world’s leading surgeons. The forum gathered about 2,000 participants, and about 4,000 people joined the online broadcast. Specialists from the USA, China, Slovenia, Kuwait, Germany, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan attended the event.
