Within the framework of “Days of the Medical Center of the PAA RK in Abay region” doctors of the Hospital successfully performed 16 complex surgeries, 119 medical consultations and gave 11 lectures to 537 medical workers.
In particular, a neurosurgeon of the highest category of the Hospital performed complex operation “installation of a stent changing the flow in brain aneurysm” and “embolization of brain tumor” to 3 residents of the region. In addition, the Hospital's chief arrhythmologist implanted a dual-chamber cardioverter-defibrillator to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in a patient with ischemic cardiomyopathy. An orthopedic trauma surgeon also performed shoulder and knee arthroscopy surgeries on a patient with a tear of the hamstring muscle of the shoulder, upper and hamstring muscles. A X-ray - surgeon performed complex surgery on two patients.
It is also worth noting that a cardiac surgeon of the Hospital performed the “short-cut aortocoronary bypass surgery under artificial circulation” for the first time in Abay region.
119 residents received medical consultations, including 20 from a neurosurgeon, 15 from an arrhythmologist, 2 from an X-ray surgeon, 40 from a gastroenterologist, 30 from an orthopedic traumatologist, 4 from a rehabilitation doctor and 8 from an epileptologist.
Highly qualified specialists of the hospital also shared their experience with colleagues from the region by preparing presentations and giving lectures.
In particular, the head of the radiosurgery department gave a lecture on “Percutaneous methods of intervention in mechanical jaundice and acute cholecystitis”, and an anesthesiologist-anesthesiologist-animatologist gave a lecture on “Sepsis: a review of current recommendations”. For nuclear medicine specialists, lectures were organized on “Organization of radiopharmaceuticals production under GMP conditions” and “PET/CT capabilities in oncology diagnostics using new radiopharmaceuticals”. The hospital specialists also prepared a lecture and presentation covering topical issues. 537 medical workers from the region took part in the events.
