In accordance with the plan for conducting civil defense exercises, a staff training session was held at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: “Elimination of the consequences of a fire and explosion of a chemical substance in a pharmacy warehouse located on the basement floor of Block "B1" of the Hospital, as well as organizing the reception and provision of emergency medical care upon admission of victims from the center of an emergency”.

The main goal of the staff training is the readiness of the Hospital personnel for coordinated actions in the event of a threat or occurrence of an emergency and the establishment of interaction with the regional civil defense units of Astana.

The personnel of the state department “Specialized Fire Service No. 4” of the Department of Emergency Situations of Astana took part in the staff training. The sanitary-chemical brigade of the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise of the MC Hospital of the PAA of RK, the emergency technical team of the Hospital, the fire post of the non-governmental fire service, and the ambulance brigade also took part.

It is worth noting that during the training, a set of measures for designating “red code” and “yellow code” was taken into account. In particular, in block “B1”, work was carried out on a simulated fire extinguishing in a pharmacy located on the basement floor, organizing a ladder truck to evacuate the staff and visitors of the Hospital, removing seriously ill patients, identifying accumulations of highly toxic substances, conducting degassing and a water curtain. It should be noted that the Hospital employees actively participated in the headquarters exercises. They worked harmoniously in eliminating natural and man-made emergencies, demonstrating their efficiency and professionalism.
