International Gastroenterological Conference “Mare milk, koumiss, shubat - therapeutic and health-improving properties”, organized by Gastroenterology and Hepatology Center of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held in Almaty.

Qualified specialists from France, Germany, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the International Conference dedicated to the memory of Abai Zhangabylov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. About 20 reports, 10 poster reports and topical articles on the subject were presented at the conference dedicated to the results of research into the therapeutic properties of mare's milk and koumiss, the secrets of camel milk, the therapeutic role of camel milk in autism spectrum disorders, problems of treatment of intestinal dysbacteriosis, modern approaches and research into anti-aging therapy.

- Today, doctors are more oriented towards pharmacological therapy. Because the healing properties of saumal and koumiss are not taught in medical schools and are not included in the curriculum. At the end of the conference, a resolution was adopted to introduce the approach to treatment with mare's milk and koumiss as an additional lesson in the curriculum and application in medicine, now our proposal will be sent to the Ministry,” says Bakytzhan Bimbetov, Chief Gastroenterologist of the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and organizer of the conference.

About 1500 people participated in the international conference in online and offline format. This conference allowed to expand the field of study of the healing properties of mare's milk.
