Every year on April 7, in honor of the founding of the WHO, World Health Day is celebrated.
World Health Day is a global campaign that seeks to bring health and health care to the attention of everyone on the planet.
Today Center for the formation of a Healthy Lifestyle of the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a comping devoted to the World Health Day.
The purpose of the campaign: to attract the attention of visitors to the Hospital to the problems of health and health care.
During the campaign in the big conference room, the Center for the formation of a Healthy Lifestyle organized a flash mob with the participation of students of the 3rd course of Medical University Astana, a mass exercise with the involvement of Eduard Varushkin, a rehabilitation physician.
Then, the main part of the campaign took place in the gallery of the Hospital on the 1st floor, where the students also presented a flash mob, conducted a blitz-poll on the visitors’ awareness on health, principles of healthy lifestyle and prevention of diseases. The patients received an apple for the correct answer.
G.Turdunova, doctor - methodologist and A.Tungushbaeva, dietician of the Center for the formation of a Healthy Lifestyle conducted free consultations on disease prevention (behavioral risk factors, proper nutrition, principles of healthy lifestyle), distributed visual information materials (pamphlets, leaflets) for interested visitors.
During the consultations, the visitors’ attention was drawn to the fact that health is a key value for everyone, and largely (50%) it depends on lifestyle, that proper nutrition and physical activity should become everyone’s lifestyle.
In addition, all willing participants had the opportunity to measure blood pressure, which was performed by T.Maul, nurse and blood sugar levels by express method, performed by F.Dzhusupova, laboratorian.
105 people registered on the list. The total number of participants was over 300.
According to the feedback from the visitors, the goal of the campaign was achieved!
