About the Department
X-ray Surgery Department of the Presidential Hospital was launched in June 2015. X-ray endovascular examinations and minimally invasive operations are performed in almost all vascular pools. X-ray endovascular examinations and minimally invasive operations are performed in almost all vascular pools. X-ray operating room is equipped with the latest technology. This is a unique digital angiographic unit “Simens Artis Zee”, which allows performing operations on almost all vessels of the human body, examining any organ in real time and performing certain types of surgical interventions on it, as well as a unique digital angiographic unit for performing hybrid surgical and endovascular interventions Simens Artis Zee Go, which has no analogues in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The Department carries out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions on the heart and blood vessels by the methods of X-ray endo-endovascular surgery.
In our work, we apply modern knowledge, taking into account the latest world developments and trends, and use the latest high-quality tools and materials from leading world manufacturers, including the latest generation of drug-eluting stents.
Owing to the equipment and highly qualified specialists of our department, a wide range of unique low-traumatic operations can be performed, allowing patients to quickly recover from operations and significantly improve the quality of life.
The use of X-ray surgical methods of treatment allows minimizing operational trauma, avoiding anesthesia and prolonged stay of the patient in the intensive care unit, and minimizing the patient’s recovery time.
All this rightfully makes it possible to call these methods of treatment – the medicine of the 21st century, no scalpel surgery! A distinctive feature of our department is the close cooperation of various departments with X-ray surgery. The collaboration of X-ray surgeons with specialists of relevant departments allows applying the most modern methods of treatment that meet European quality standards in practice. The following procedures are performed in the hybrid operating rooms
Hybrid operations (simultaneous valve replacement and stenting of the coronary arteries, implantation of stent grafts in the thoracic and abdominal aorta, endoprosthesis of the aortic arch with the transposition of brachycephalic branches). Coronary artery stenting, aortocoronary and mammary coronary bypass interventions are often performed for patients with acute myocardial infarction. Jointly with neurologists, the indications for stenting the extracranial parts of the brachiocephalic vessels, including the internal carotid artery, are determined. Endovascular interventions are actively carried out for patients with critical lower limb ischemia, trophic changes with severe diabetes mellitus. Modern X-ray surgical interventions such as closure of the left atrial auricle for patients with atrial fibrillation, and radiofrequency denervation of the renal arteries for patients with hypertension will be performed. Endoprosthetics for thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, implantation of cardiostimulators of various models, cardioverter defibrillators, radiofrequency thermal destruction of the cardiac pathways are performed.
