About the department
The Emergency Department is one of the structural divisions of the hospital which is designed to provide 24/7 emergency medical care to a separate category of citizens attached to the Medical Centre of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and patients on a contract basis in case of conditions which are life/health-threatening to the patient, accidents, acute serious diseases, both at the scene of the accident and en route. It includes: dispatcher service and field medical teams of emergency medical services. The department is located in a detached hospital building, block G, Floor 1. Ambulance vehicles (reanimobile) of emergency medical teams are equipped with modern medical portable equipment (defibrillator monitor, cardiograph, artificial ventilation device) and medical equipment (immobilization equipment, birth and trauma kit, stowage for resuscitation). Emergency medical service team is equipped with most advanced facilities in order to render qualified medical care during emergency cases before hospitalization. Emergency medical services park is equipped with specialized sanitized motor transport including high traffic flow. The Department has qualified doctors with extensive professional experience in providing emergency medical care, who have obtained training and internships in the near and far abroad.

Services of the Department
- Service of emergency calls at the pre-hospital stage received at the Emergency department desk of the hospital
- Transportation of patients (injured) under a threat to life and health who are in need of emergency and urgent care to urgent specialized hospitals
- Medical support for official and public events held on a city-wide scale
Medical conditions
- Аcute diseases and conditions that threaten life as well as to prevent significant harm to health at the scene of the accident and (or) on the way to a medical organization
The ambulance will not be provided in the following cases
- If conditions do not threaten life and health and, if possible, apply independently to the organization of primary health care (polyclinic)
- To perform scheduled appointments of the district doctor and other specialists (medication injections, bandages, enema)
- It does not conduct planned diagnostic testing (laboratory tests: PCR test for Covid-19, taking smears for pathlore, ECG recording, determination of blood sugar)
- The need for transportation to the planned examination and hospitalization in the city in-patient facilities
- It does not write prescriptions for medications nor issue sheets of temporary incapacity for work, it does not conduct an inspection of the fact of death and issue a death certificate as well as an inspection of alcohol and drug intoxication
- Emergency medical service team does not leave for suburban nearby settlements (out-of Nur-Sultan city) that belong to the district centers of the Akmola region. In rural localities for EMS call service, the dispatcher of the district substation of the EMS attracts specialists and sanitary vehicles of the nearest medical organizations
