A scientific and practical seminar “Dialogue between radiologist and clinician: multidisciplinary approach in diagnostics of interstitial lung diseases” was held at the Medical Center Hospital. The organizer of this event is the Respiratory Medicine Center of the Hospital.
The seminar was attended by Igor Tyurin, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor - radiologist, deputy director for scientific work of the Research Institute of Clinical and Experimental Radiology, chief freelance specialist in radiation and instrumental diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Russia). Also physicians-pulmonologists, radiologists, residents of MC Hospital, Astana.
At the multidisciplinary review, pulmonologists and radiologists presented diagnostically complicated patients with interstitial lung diseases, including idiopathic, systemic connective tissue diseases, as well as interstitial lung lesions associated with oncologic pathology, VAPE-associated interstitial lung lesions. Careful analysis of clinical data and results of computed tomography of patients’ lungs allowed to identify possible causes and mechanisms of development of severe lung lesions, as well as to get closer to making a probable diagnosis.
I.Tyurin, Professor highly appreciated the professional level of pulmonologists and radiologists of the Medical Center Hospital of PAA RK, as well as the format of the scientific-practical seminar with a multidisciplinary approach in dealing with complex clinical cases of interstitial lung pathology. Professor shared his experience of using artificial intelligence in CT-diagnostics of respiratory diseases and expressed his wish to continue joint scientific and clinical forums with RCPC and the Medical Center Hospital of PAA RK on the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
