ROBOT-ASSISTED SURGERY: FASTER, EASIER, MORE ACCURATE

WHAT IS THE ROBOTIC OPERATING ROOM?
The robotic operating room is the modern, most effective method of surgical treatment in urology, gynecology and general surgery. While maintaining the advantages of laparoscopic surgery (when internal organs are operated through small openings on the patient's body), robot-assisted surgery has many additional benefits.
1. Three-dimensional observation of the operating field and multiple magnification of the image of the operated organs.
2. Complete elimination of surgeon's hand tremor.
3. No need for large incisions and a fast recovery time for the patient.
4. Minimal risk of infection or major blood loss and consequently shortened hospital stay; no serious pain after the operation.

WHAT KINDS OF SURGERIES ARE PERFORMED WITH THE ROBOT-ASSISTED UNIT?
Doctors at the Presidential Clinic perform all types of urological, surgical and gynecological surgeries on the Senhance robotic system.

WHO PERFORMS THE OPERATIONS?
It's a mistake to think that robotics surgeries are performed by a robot. It is just a tool for the surgeon to work more precisely and efficiently. The doctor in this case controls the robot's instruments staying comfortably at his operating console. The system helps the doctor to perform surgeries with high precision of movements up to 1 mm, in the most comfortable position, sitting in a special chair.
Since last October doctors of the Presidential Clinic have successfully performed more than nine hundred operations on the robotic system in three spheres - gynecology, general surgery and urology.
All specialists working on the robotic-assisted unit have been trained at the robotic surgery education center at Asensus Senhance headquarters in Milan, Italy.

INTERNATIONAL GUEST EXPERTS
The consultants for the robotic surgery program are world-renowned doctors - Dr. David Samadi, urologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, who was one of the first in the world to operate with a robot-assisted unit, and Dr. Stefano Jidiro, professor at the University Hospital in Pescara, Italy, as well as a consultant at the training center for robotic surgery in Milan. Visiting specialists come to the hospital every two months to conduct master classes and operations together with the leading doctors of the Presidential Clinic.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO CONTACT US?
