Intervention of cardiac surgeons was also necessary, as it was planned to block vein of aorta, running from the heart. Having studied the experience of foreign colleagues and using state-of-the-art technical capabilities, we have performed a surgery on the patient with Takayasu disease for the first time, together with Alibek Toibayev, Chief of Cardiac Surgery Department. Though vascular occlusion is a common ailment, its treatment is a complicated process. After successful surgery, neurosurgeons and cardiac surgeons of the Hospital are ready to assist other patients with such a diagnosis.
