As part of the “Days of the Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan” project, doctors from the Medical Center Hospital participated in a four-day experience-sharing event in the Atyrau region.

On the first day of the visit, Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev, a neurosurgeon of the highest category, conducted 5 complex surgeries on removal of brain tumors, brain aneurysms and narrowing of the cerebral vessels, and provided 46 individual consultations to the population of Atyrau region.

Raushan Karabayeva, Deputy Director for Clinical Care conducted a master class for 35 colleagues in Atyrau on the rational use of bed capacity, she gave lectures for 17 specialists from various hospitals in the region.

Bauyrzhan Babashev, chief of ICU, doctor of the highest category conducted a master class for 5 doctors, on the two main methods of anesthesia.

Madina Yessengeldinova, pulmonologist, as a member of the delegation, held a personal reception for 22 residents of the region and lectured 15 specialists on “Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, updated recommendations” and “Interstitial Lung Disease”.

Zhazira Tungishbaeva, the head of the Check-Up Department held at the lecture, with the participation of 25 people, where she shared extensive information on modern features of outpatient care for patients and the effective organization of the check-up department.

Botagoz Davletova, allergologist conducted 21 consultations for residents of Atyrau and lectured to 14 people.

Gulshara Abildinova, chief of t Laboratory for Personalized Genomic Diagnostics, conducted classes for 10 specialists of the oncologic dispensary and 40 doctors of the city maternity hospital.

On the second day of the visit, Askar Baimukhametov, a traumatologist of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performed a complicated knee arthroscopy surgery on one patient and consulted 36 residents.

On the third day of the trip, Talgat Kapakov, a gynecologist of the highest category, conducted 40 individual consultations, 8 operations of various complexity, as well as, during one operation, the doctor coordinated the work of local doctors. The most part of surgical procedures were carried out by laparoscopic way because of removals of female genital neoplasms: laparoscopic total hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, laparotomy total hysterectomy. Also, traditional laparotor access and vaginal surgeries were performed.

It is important to note that during the visit, which ended with 14 operations, 165 medical consultations, 7 lectures for 165 specialists, was signed a Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the akimat of the Atyrau region.

In order to exchange experience and increase the availability of highly specialized care to the population, it is planned to continue such visits to the regions of the country.
